DROP-IN GROUP: Writing as a Healing Practice

Write for healing, self-awareness, and spiritual growth.

This gentle, supportive, nature-based healing circle fosters self-awareness and personal growth. Each session includes meditation, a teaching around the Medicine Wheel, and a short writing practice to help access the deeper inner life.

Drop in as often as you like. No reservations needed; no writing experience necessary. This heart-opening, life-affirming, co-ed program welcomes anyone over age 18. Continues throughout the year; check back here for current dates, as this group skips some weeks.

Writing as a Healing Practice is a program of Community Heals.

Community Heals is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the health and well-being of all individuals and businesses in our Sebastopol community and beyond.

Open to everyone, our No-to-Low Cost Clinic, Classes and Outreach Programs offer wellness-promoting treatments and trainings that complement conventional western medical care. We focus on health education and self-care to empower our clients to make sustainable healthier lifestyle choices for their bodies, minds and spirits.

Community Heals offers 20 hours of One-to-One Sessions and Group Classes each week. Our modalities include acupuncture, several kinds of body work and massage, stress reducing sound therapy and energy medicine, wellness lifestyle coaching, breath work, Writing as a Healing Practice and Qigong.Throughout the year we sponsored a variety of events on such topics as Mindfulness Meditation, Food As Medicine, Death and Dying and Positive Images, an on-going support group for LGBT&Q youth.
